Brand refresh for a children's animated series.

Koyaa is a series of stop-motion animated short films that follow the slapstick adventures of the titular character. It’s intended for kids and the visual identity is light and playful. The world of Koyaa is quite messy and chaotic, so we balanced things out with a minimal approach to design.

The color palette was derived from Koyaa’s appearance. He doesn’t talk in the films, so a series of interjections was used to convey his moods. The objects surrounding the hero were illustrated in a way that evokes a sense of movement.

The Pikto team has implemented the brand identity over a variety of formats, both physical and digital. These included DVD covers, booklets, merchandise, posters, film titles, press releases, advertisements, the Koyaa website and so on.
